Maisa Majakka (b. 1989) is a Helsinki-based sculptor and ceramic artist. She received her MFA from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2022. Her artistic practice follows two distinct directions: she is known both for her endearing ceramic animal figurines and for her large-scale bodies of work exploring contemporary feminine experience. Majakka’s diverse artistic practice draws on beauty, cuteness, personal experiences, popular culture and the material possibilities of ceramics. Majakka primarily creates her sculptures using hand-building techniques. Her approach to ceramics is characterized by the precise use of colour and line, combined with layered surface treatments.

Majakka has held solo exhibitions in Finland at Galleria Halmetoja and Galerie Forsblom and in Denmark at Galleri Ekely. In 2023, she participated in the Nuoret exhibition at Kunsthalle Helsinki. Her works are represented in several public and private collections, including the Finnish National Gallery, HAM Helsinki Art Museum, and the Miettinen Collection. In 2025, she was selected as a visiting artist at the Arabia Art Department Society. Maisa Majakka’s first public artwork Run, Wild Child! was completed in Kangasala, Finland, in 2025.
