White Wall | Maisa Majakka: Year of the Horse 30.10.–28.11.2026

Year of the Horse brings sculptor Maisa Majakka’s small animal sculptures together in a dedicated exhibition for the first time. The ceramic dogs, cats and fantasy horses have emerged from playful material experiments and an insatiable drive to create beauty and cuteness. The artists first ceramic sculptures, made in 2011, were small dogs and horses. In 2026, animal sculptures continue to be a vital part of her artistic practice. The exhibition celebrates 15 years of Majakka’s devotion to her small animals.

“Early inspiration behind the works include the loves of my childhood: My Beautiful Horses, Grand Champions Micro Minis, the flying Pegasi in Disney’s Fantasia, Black Beauty, Lena Furberg’s comics, Suho and the White Horse, and all those bicycles that galloped wildly beneath me.”
