These terms and conditions apply to the entire contents and orders placed at LOKAL’s website (“Site”). Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. Placing an order indicates that you accept the terms. These terms will form a contract between you and LOKAL.

From time to time, LOKAL may change these terms and conditions by updating the terms and conditions on the Site.


LOKAL’s online selection includes some of our most popular handmade and/or unique items. Majority of these items are not sold anywhere else online.

The items available in this online shop are not always on display at our physical gallery/store in Helsinki, and vice versa. If you wish to purchase anything that is not included in our online selection, please don’t hesitate to contact us at customerservice(at)lokalhelsinki.com.

We cannot, unfortunately, guarantee that all items in our online shop are in stock at the time of your order. If you do purchase an item which we cannot supply straight away, we will get in touch with you by e-mail.


Visma Pay (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of the Site. Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland. The payment process is conducted in the online service of Visma Pay. Visma Pay or Paybyway Oy is shown as the receiver of your payment in the bank account listing and in your invoice. Paying with Visma Pay is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections.

The trade happens between the online customer and LOKAL.

With Visma Pay you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, Jousto, Enterpay Company Invoice, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.

Jousto invoice and part-payment is a Finnish service for making purchases quickly and safely. Jousto is for private persons having their economy in balance. With Jousto you will get 30 days time to pay without interest or expenses. After you have received an invoice, you can decide to pay it at once or in parts. You can pay our purchase in up to 36 parts, starting from 9,90 eur/month. Expenses for Jousto part-payment are 3,90 eur/month and 19,90% interest. With Jousto you can pay purchases from 30 to 3000 eur. Aurajoki Nordic Oy issues the credit. Read more from www.jousto.com.

The prices displayed on this site are quoted in Euro, including Finnish VAT (24%) (Expect for unique artworks that have 0% or 10% VAT depending on the artists.) Prices do not include delivery or custom costs. Orders from non-EU countries might be subject to duties and/or taxes. Duties and/or taxes are the responsibility of the customer and are due at the time of delivery.


We currently ship to Europe, Japan and to the United States.

At the moment the orders are normally dispatched within the next four working days after you have placed the order.


We offer free standard shipping in Finland for orders over 100€.

Orders to Finland are sent via Posti, Matkahuolto or DHL depending on your choice of delivery method. The delivery is 2-3 business days with Posti Pick-up Point, Posti Home delivery, Matkahuolto Pick-up Point delivert and Matkahuolto Home delivery. With DHL Express, the delivery time is 1-2 business days within Finland. You can also choose a store pick-up on weekdays at Lokal Aleksi at Aleksanterinkatu 13, Helsinki. Once your online order (within 1-2 days) is ready for a pick-up you will be notified via phone or email with further info.

All orders in Europe are delivered via DHL Express and depending on the destination in the Europe, the delivery time is currently 2-7 business days.

The United States

All orders are delivered via DHL Express and depending on the destination in the USA the delivery time is 2-7 business days. The delivery price will be calculated at the check-out.



Any orders you place at the Site will form a valid contract between you and LOKAL.

We reserve the right at all times and at our sole discretion to cancel your order for compulsory reason, such as the unavailability of a product, errors in the prices or product descriptions posted on the Site.


If you wish to return the ordered item, you must inform us of the return within fourteen (14) days from the receipt of the ordered item. Please inform us by an e-mail, which includes your order ID number. You will receive instructions on how to proceed via e-mail. Please use our return form that you can find with your order or print it out here.

Returns must meet the following requirements:
– The item is to be in new condition,
– The returned item must correspond to the item delivered,
– The item is returned in its original packaging in good condition, all in a package properly closed.

Should you have used the item and, therefore, it does not correspond with the item delivered, you are liable for the reduction of value, in maximum to the total value of the item.

Should the item be personalized or customized for you, it cannot be returned.


We have a mandatory liability for defects based on the applicable consumer regulations. You have a right to return the defective items. Please inform us of any defective items as soon as possible. We will try to replace these items with a identical item, undamaged item as soon as we get a replacement.

If by chance the item has broken during the transport, please notify us without delay after receiving the parcel, and please make sure to send us a picture of the damage.

Notwithstanding the applicable mandatory regulation, you agree to that LOKAL’s total liability shall be limited to the purchase price actually paid to LOKAL.

All elements on the Site are protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. They remain the exclusive property of LOKAL or its service providers.


Any dispute concerning these conditions is to be settled in accordance with Finnish law, since Lokal/Studio Lumo Oy Ab is situated in Finland, and since Finland is the country where all business transactions take place. Lokal/Studio Lumo Oy Ab (Business ID: FI07080322) follows the recommendations of the National Board for Consumer Complaints.
