“The beach is often a scene of very ordinary activities. Kids and adults walk on the sand, or play in the water.  Bodies in tiny bathing suits lay on towels decorated with colours and patterns. People relax in the sun or shadow. These atmospheres and sceneries have been a source of inspiration for my exhibition at Lokal. In my oil paintings I try to capture something of the intimacy and lightness of beach life.” – Eva Lamppu
