The satellite of the Onoma co-operative’s summer exhibition Hidden approaches multisensory experiences through art, design and craftsmanship, now also in Lokal’s homely environment. The artists featured in the Hidden exhibition reflect on the meanings and possibilities of the various senses in their own work. A number of factors contribute to how someone experiences and senses a work or an object. Often, however, the interpreter is strongly led by the creator of the work or object. The satellite exhibition is co-curated by Laura Sarvilinna and Katja Hagelstam.

Klaus and Elina Aalto / Erna Aaltonen / Antrei Hartikainen / Hemmo Honkonen / Sasha Huber / Mari Isopahkala / Minja Kolehmainen / Eija Koski / Tero Kuitunen / Nathalie Lautenbacher & Naoto Niidome / Jenni Mikkonen / Tuulia Penttilä / Renata Schirm (Jakowleff) / Theresa Storbacka / Maija Toukolehto

Bloom 2023 / Open Call

We are delighted to be having our seventh Bloom exhibition, Lokal’s biannual young artists’ exhibition. Bloom has become an established platform for young blossoming creatives to present their works in a curated group exhibition context.

Factory 2: Renata Schirm / Myriad

The works Renata presents in her first solo exhibition in Korea are based on the composing techniques she has used in recent years, with which she has found ways to create objects that focus purely on the material and its essence: its texture, its colour, and its relation to light.
