Hemmo Honkonen | Mirage No. 03

Hemmo Honkonen (b.1990) is a designer based in Helsinki. He graduated from Aalto University as an interior architect (TaM) and from IKATA as a musical instrument maker and craftsman. As a furniture designer, Honkonen mainly works with wood, creating both commercial and artistic works, often moving on the interface between practicality and sculpture. His work is characterized by surprise, humor and innovation, which are manifested, among other things, in his sounding furniture and the methods of patterning wooden surfaces.
