Lotta Mattila

Lotta Mattila (b. 1986) is a Finnish contemporary artist renowned for her animal characters. Originally from Kuopio, Mattila currently works in Helsinki. She studied in the glass art, ceramics and sculpture department of Ohio State University from 2009 to 2010, and graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Here, she continued her studies from 2011 to 2016 before completing her Master’s in 2017 at the Academy of Fine Arts, which is part of Aalto University. She has held solo exhibitions in Finland and the United States and has participated in more than 25 group exhibitions around the world.
