Marika Maijala | Doppelgänger 2

Marika Maijala works as a freelance artist in Taiteilijatalo on Harakka Island and studies art painting at the Vapaa Taidekoulu. Maijala's versatile production includes children's picture books, art books, paintings, drawings, texts, animations, videos, installations and illustrations for public spaces. Maijala has received several awards and nominations for her work as an illustrator, for example the Rudolf Koivu Award for the best children's book illustration twice (2009 and 2019) and the State Award for Visual Arts in 2020. Her stories and illustrations have been published around the world.
