Jenni Tuominen (b. 1976) is a Porvoo-based illustrator, visual artist and designer who is inspired by the forest and dreams. She gained her BA in Visual Culture from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 2004, and a fine art qualification from the Turku Academy of Arts in 2001. She has also studied textiles and metalwork. Tuominen likes to shape clay into plump girls and charming animals and uses ink to paint her everyday observations of the world. In her mosaics, she combines hard material and soft form. Her strengths as an artist include colours, form, and an open-minded, experimental attitude.

”In my work, I like to combine humour, hard surfaces and soft form.”
