Maija Puoskari | Flower Bell Vase XX

Designer Maija Puoskari (b.1978) was born in Tornio, Northern Finland. She mainly works with lighting, interior design and tableware projects in her own studio in Kallio, Helsinki. Most of her customers are international manufacturers. Puoskari's design is characterised by clean shape and functionality. Puoskari has been awarded several grants and prizes. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Finland and around the world since her studies. Puoskari graduated from Aalto University in 2009 and from the Kuopio Academy of Design in 2003. Before specialising in product design, glass and ceramics, she trained as a florist. Nature is Puoskari's unending source of inspiration. She likes to spend her free time in the woods and is a passionate mushroom hunter.
