“The exhibition is about bright days, island life, the passage of time, the changing landscape, stopping for a moment. I paint a feeling of peace and lightness, memories and places I think about when I’m restless. In painting, it is important for me to convey onto the canvas the emotional state, as well as the physicality and movement of painting. I focus on the moment: colour, line, numerous layers, the three-dimensionality brought by abundant paint, and the feeling of the moment.”
