White Wall | Johanna Lumme: Lightness in Transition 12.–30.11.2025

In Johanna Lumme’s exhibition Lightness in Transition, the works depict the body’s emotional experiences in the northern nature. The landscape appears as a huge rhizome, the network of which reaches out to all of us. Humans cannot function independently of this, as the body is always connected to a changing environment. The works on display delve into the themes of belonging and connection; home as a concept signifies connection to nature. The landscape is an extension of the body, where the self becomes part of the pulsating mycelium. The inevitability of the cycle of matter is everywhere; what exists never disappears, only transformation is possible.
