“I remember the festive atmosphere of childhood and the taste and colour of the square sugar-coated cookies associated with the celebration. The pastel colours of the sugar coating are transferred to the surface of small wall hangings via a needle and hook. The raw ingredients of the cookies – wheat, sugar, dyes and grease – are transformed into the materials of the wall textiles: cotton, sheep’s wool, mohair and alpaca, creating joy in everyday life; the anticipation of spring and its celebrations.”
