Näyttely #52 – Blue Things

Jenni ja Matti ystävystyivät opiskellessaan vuonna 1999. Blue Things on heidän ensimmäinen yhteisnäyttelynsä, jonka innoittajana on toiminut yhteinen kiinnostus käsityön ja taiteen rajapinnan tutkimiseen.

The themes of the exhibition are friendship, the colour blue and the modulating form of the square. Through experimenting with new techniques, they have found new ways to explore their own work in learning from each other. Placing two artistic approaches side by side has opened new perspectives into their practice.

Unique paintings and originals, as well as special designs for small Finnish manufacturers, are displayed at the exhibition. Mum’s, Lapuan Kankurit and Sarita Ceramics were selected to be the cooperative partners. The exhibition will be set up in Lokal now, and from there it will continue to the CASE Gallery in Tokyo in October 2018.
