Veera Kulju / Popcorn bowl

Veera Kulju (*1975) is a Helsinki-based artist who mainly communicates through clay and weaving. In her work, experimenting and curiosity go hand in hand with analytical thinking and storytelling. Kulju is working in the legendary 9th floor at the Arabia Art Department Society as a visiting artist for 2017–2018. In her sculptures, small details build a vast bundle of meanings, and the larger forms maintain a dialogue with everyday objects.
