SPLINT Basket with Lid / Alpo Ahokas

This functional splint basket is ideal for the storage of any of your belongings. It has a lid, which can also be used separately, for example as a serving dish for bread. It is handmade with a traditional technique by using Finnish pine splint. Alpo’s precise way of handling the wooden material is admirable. Every piece is an individual to its maker, and the focus with which it has been crafted can be sensed in the final outcome.
