Sasha Huber / Sea Of The Lost

Year: 2017
Medium / materials: fottage
Dimensions: 98 x 64 cm

This unique graphite drawing is made from a section of the Sea of the Lost (2016) artwork which consists of almost 200,000 staples symbolising marks that go under the skin, binding a traumatic past to the present. All the staples together form many waves, representing the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The work also gives the observer space for own associations about the sea.
